Notice of Hearing Concerning Community Needs and Priorities

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 5:00 PM in the Calhoun County Council Chambers (102 Courthouse Dr. St. Matthews, SC 29135) Calhoun County will hold a public hearing to solicit public input on community needs and priorities for housing, public facilities, and economic development. At this public hearing, Calhoun County will conduct its annual community needs assessment, addressing development activities which might be undertaken to meet identified needs, including the estimated amount proposed to be used for activities that will benefit persons of low and moderate income.

This public hearing and the matters to be discussed are subject to the provisions of the Citizen Participation Plan, developed in anticipation of participation in the State of South Carolina’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and the Federal HUD HOME program, providing for the participation of the citizens of Calhoun County in the planning and implementation of community and economic development projects which will involve HUD funds.

The Citizen Participation Plan is available for review at the Calhoun County Complex, 102 Courthouse Drive, St. Matthews, SC 29135, during regular business hours.
