Candidate Filing Open for Town of Saint Matthews General Election

The Calhoun County Board of Voter Registration and Elections announces the General Election for the Town of Saint Matthews to be held on November 7, 2023.

The following offices shall be included in this election:

  • Town of Saint Matthews - Mayor 
  • City Council –District 2
  • City Council –District 4
  • City Council –District 6

Filing will open at noon (12:00pm) on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, and will remain open during regular business hours until noon (12:00pm) on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

Citizens desiring to be a candidate for the above listed offices may file at the Calhoun County Voter Registration & Elections Office.

The filing fee for the office of Town Council is $50.00. The filing fee for the office of Mayor is $75.00. This is a non-partisan election and no party affiliation shall be placed on the ballot.
