Council On Aging Announces New Dates for Senior Citizen Meal Distribution Program

Calhoun County Council on Aging in a coordinated effort with Senior Resources, Inc. will provide any senior citizen (60+) or a caregiver picking up a meal for a senior citizen, five free meals per week, at a first come, first serve basis.

There are specific requirements that must be met to receive free meal services from the Emergency Senior Nutrition Program.

  • To receive the meal pack, you must reside in Calhoun County.
  • All meal recipients must show a state issued id and provide a name, address and phone number at pick-up. If you a caregiver and you are picking up a meal for a senior citizen, please have their ID with you.
  • Only two meal packs are allowed per car (10 individual meals).
  • Individuals are only permitted one pick-up per week.

Please note that once all meals for that site have been distributed, the site will close for the day.

*All current CCCOA meal program participants are NOT eligible for this program*
