TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - CAMERON, SC

CSX Transportation has announced that they will be installing panels in two crossings in Cameron. This will require a total closure of the roadway.  Please see the following closure schedule here:
 
Calhoun County, SC - Town of Cameron
* 1st Street (near Boyce Lawton Dr)
* Closing Monday, 9/8/25 at 9:00am
* Set to reopen on Wednesday, 9/10/25 by 9:00am
* This is a total closure meaning no traffic will be allowed across the track until the work is complete

*Cemetery St (near State Rd S-9-8)
* THIS IS A ONE WAY IN/OUT FOR THESE RESIDENTS. SCD will place a message board at the crossing on Aug 29th to alert the residents.
* Closing Monday, 9/8/25 at 9:00am
* CSX will pave one side back for overnight usage
* Set reclose on Tuesday, 9/9/25 by 8:00am and will open at 8pm

Signage will be in place marking detour routes. Please note the expected closure date(s). We will update you with changes in the schedule as they occur, as they are highly likely in this field of work.  Please note that any/all dates are subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen conditions. Motorist should anticipate extended travel times and delays. Please avoid this closure area if at all possible.
